Louise Tiler

Louise Tiler is a surface pattern designer who is 'passionate about creating timeless hand-drawn and hand-painted designs that are influenced by the past and inspired by intricate, beautiful things.'


She has a real passion for hand drawing and historical textiles. Graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design from Leeds College of Art in 2011, Louise is now based in Saltaire, England, where she runs a design business creating her own range of wallpapers, interior textiles, greeting cards and stationary. As well as creating her own collection, Louise has freelanced for two years with Tigerprint (Marks and Spencer).

Louise has received both national and international recognition for her design work. In 2011 Louise was awarded Grand Prize Winner of Surtex Designext Competition in New York and was awarded BDC New Designer of the Year 2011 from thousands of UK graduates.

Other awards include- Tigerprint online cards competition 2010, First Prize Winner of Prestigious Textiles Award 2011 and Winner of the Historical Textile Competition 2011.

In 2012 Louise will be launching her own brand of wallpaper, greeting cards and stationary. The new greeting card collection with Woodmansterne Publication will be available from January in all good Woodmansterne stockists (John Lewis, Waitrose and WHSmith). Louise Tiler’s award winning wallpaper collection will be launching in April 2012.
